Survive to live

I have about a week before I leave for Doha. I feel rather jiterry and scared. Will I be okay there. Will I fit and blend well in a new environment foreign to me. I was on meebo chat with Sabrina, my good friend cum ex flat mate cum ex class mate cum ex mutual pre arranged marriange contract mate, today. She's a good motivator. I, as a big whiner as always turned to her for advice.

She advised me to be ready for a change. A Change is of the essence for a better life. With change comes uncertainties and hardship. We need to be strong to wade the tide and tribulation a change might brings and survive. But I dont want to survive, I want to live!!! She then quotes,

eventhough im only roaming domestically, but i think DOHA is a best place for your future prospect.
jgn la tak confident wif yourself.. mmg le suasana kat sana tak sama.. but sharm yg aku kenal.. he loves challenges and like to discover new places. u should be allright in DOHA. Tp bila da stable kat sana.. jgn la lupa lak kat aku kat bumi malaysia ni ek.. hehehhehe...
mcm masa ko memula sampai k miri.. aku respek ko yg cepat blend in with the surrounding, yet able to coupe with the changes. d ppl, places, etc.
so, dont worry too much about going to DOHA. if i have the opportunity like you, for sure i will not think twice after decission were made.

just got to know that you are heading to doha. Which company?

I'm now in brunei. about 2 months.

Anyway, akhir bulan 11, aku ade interview dgn qatar gas. Interview is in london. Doa2kan aku dapat, so we can meet somewhere in Doha. hehehehe

Triclub Doha Aquathlon 8

Nikki Beach, The Pearl Qatar 23 April 2016 My post Ironman blues was so severe after South Africa. I already did two mini races in less than two weeks, the Aspire Aquathlon and TriClub Duathlon. Now is the third. It is the 8th and second last aquathlon of the season by TriClub Doha. I just could not say no to it, plus it was a farewell race to one of our good friends at the tri club, John Denning. Swim (1000 m) The water has warmed up in Doha so it was a non wetsuit race. Being a leg sinker, I was struggling to keep up with the others to draft on and found myself in a no man's territory. I was being lapped by most people and was among the last exited the water (22nd of 29 starters). I completed the 1000m in 20:51 (2:05 min/100m). I was quite happy to be honest since it was my first non-wetsuit open water swim in a while. Hujan Emas di Qatar

Lately makin ramai pula kawan-kawan rapat aku di Doha ni yang pulang ke Malaysia for good. Kadang-kadang rasa macam dah tak best pula tinggal di sini bila satu demi satu teman-teman yang rapat pergi. Baru-baru ni Rizal dan Zakiah meninggalkan Doha for good. Rasa sedih sangat, kerana Rizal adalah kawan pertama aku di Doha ni. Dia yang mengenalkan aku pada kawan-kawan Doha yang lain. Aku datang Doha ini pun setelah membaca blognya, 1001 Kisah Melayu Perantau  , yang memberi inspirasi dan keinginan untuk mencuba nasib di Qatar Darul Land Cruiser ni.
